Saga Cruises Releases Artist’s Impressions of New Ship

Saga Cruises has released artist’s impressions of its new ship which will be launched in summer 2019.

Carrying fewer than 1000 passengers, Saga Cruises’ new ship will retain the intimacy and personal service for which they are renowned for. On board this new ship there will also be single-sitting dining in a choice of speciality restaurants, a selection of bars, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, fabulous library, signature Britannia Lounge and much more – all with a fresh and contemporary twist on the traditions of classic Saga cruising.

The cabins will be spacious and modern with all 540 cabins being all-balcony cabins, and 20% of the accommodation being available for solo travellers, with a choice of single cabin grades.

New build director David Pickett announced:

“In fact, the whole ship has the ‘wow’ factor. It is being built at the Meyer Werft shipyard, in Hamburg, and at the moment we’re heavily focused on technical design, the engine, generator and propulsion plant; everything to make sure we deliver a practical, working ship of the highest specification.”

“We are scheduled to lay the first block in late summer 2018. Just over a year away!”

Saga’s aim has been to listen to their loyal passengers to feature as many of their wishes as possible and ensure that the new ship is future-proofed so it can operate for many years ahead.
