After 202 sailings, Saga Pearl II is set to retire in style from the Saga fleet with a 54-night farewell celebration cruise across Africa.
Saga Pearl II will be replaced by Saga’s brand-new small ship, Spirit of Discovery. Carrying a maximum of 1,000 guests and designed exclusively for the British market, the new ship will launch in summer 2019.
Highlights of Saga Pearl II’s ‘South African Farewell Adventure’ include a two-night overland tour to Kruger National Park, a special farewell celebration during an overnight mooring in Cape Town and a visit to the remote island of St Helena. Calls in the beachy enclaves of Cape Verde, Madeira, Tenerife and Gran Canaria will appeal to sunseekers, before Saga Pearl II’s arrival into the last port on her farewell cruise, El Ferrol.
